The Federal Home Loan Bank System was created by the Federal Home Loan Bank Act of 1932. It’s mission is to provide liquidity to members and support housing and community development. The System consists of 11 district FHLBanks, the Office of Finance, and the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks.
